Hi, I want to call to check into a school program, but don't see a phone number. I suppose a SC trip is out of the question, but it won't hurt for me to talk to someone. My husband and I saw David at the Glacier Hotel a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the show. I was telling the teacher I work with about him and the Lewis and Clark show. Phone number please. If I've just missed it and it's obvious, please don't embarass me! :)

Hey ya! I know this may not reach Dave directly but, if not, please pass the word along. This is Ely. I worked at the front desk at Many Glacier last summer. Dave and I spent a fair amount of time talking while I took money for his shows. He got me in the mood to go see his cabin last summer and I was serious about going. My girlfriend and I are planning our trip and need to fill in some gaps of a plans. Dave told me get ahold of him via email when I got to this phase in the process. I would appreciate it if he could get back to me. Tell Dave Rebecca and Ely said hello. We can't wait to hear from someone soon. Thank you kindly.

David, JJ, and Family,
I cannot say enough about your performances this weekend, at the Admiral Theatre in Bremerton. Your daytime performances of West for America with Lewis and Clark were wonderful. You were able to keep 1300 students quite, entertained, and educated all at the same time. I would think every theater in the country would be requesting a performance if they have a children’s series for American History. At this point I have the Idea that Montana is trying to keep you a secret from the rest of America, so they don’t have to share a natural treasure.
The night time show of Cabin Songs was still the talk of the theater the next day, while waiting for Gaelic Storm to take the stage. Darlene and I were asked several times if we were going to have you come back next year to perform; Montana-Life Under the Big Sky. Well, I personally can’t wait already. You are going to be a permanent part of our family your music just touches all of us from grandkids to us older kids. So once a year I hope you are willing to take a little extended vacation with your family to join ours. I wasn’t kidding about being your new big brother as long as that’s agreeable to you. If you ever need a recommendation or help in any way, you and JJ know you can contact us at any time.

Good morning David, I just had to drop you a note to say thanks! As some of your lyrics say, "you can never say goodby, just say goodnight" I have missed Glacier and your shows for the past 2 summers and I am starting to suffer from withdrawl. I have recently discovered several of your videos on you-tube, it's a small fix, but it helps ease the longing in my heart to be there again. I hope you will continue to post more videos and the best would be a full length DVD of each show for sale????? I know I would purchase them all, Cabin Song would be my very first purchase! Again, thanks for helping a flatlander through the lean times and I hope to head west in 2010, Thank You!!

Hey Dave you probably don't remember me, I was at Lyons back sometime in the 90's, played you a song about Sammy, a strange cowboy that really liked cows. Going to be up at Glacier the week of the 7th through 11th, hoping to catch your show.

David, hey, it's your favorite Many Glacier Bellman of the past, Graham Knapp!! I've been meaning to get ahold of you and ask you if "the cabin" would be willing to accept a guest this summer. That's right, I've been working just outside of Denali at McKinley Village and have had the cabin in the back of my mind since getting here.
Please get back with me if you wouldn't mind giving me directions on how to get there. Even if nobody's there to visit with, I'd still love to just check 'er out!
I'm still listening to the tunes. Hope the show are going well and you're coming up with good, new material also. Take care, David and hope to hear from you soon!

David,
I saw one of you shows last year at Many Glacier and hope to share some of my culture with you.
I'm also a singer-songwriter from Southwest Louisiana. I'll be back there next week. I know you have the presentation down to a but this time around I'll be traveling with one of My hero's Greg Guirard. He's published numerous books about The Atchafalaya Basin where we Crawfish, trap, & hunt....Anyway, we're on the way to do a concert/slideshow in Great Falls and would like to open for you (do a brief concert & slide show before yours) @ Many Glacier July 21st. When it cools off your welcome to come down and play a show at my venue in SW Louisiana.

I just returned from Montana. My friend Judy Melton and I saw your Lewis and Clark and Alaska shows at Many Glacier and enjoyed them very much. Judy is the teacher at your "alumni" Dodgen Elementary School in Marietta and we were fortunate to speak with you after one of your shows. You are an awesome entertainer and I look forward to attending your shows on another Glacier trip.

My son lived in Athens, Ga. for several years. Being a photographer you may be interested, I went to school/grew up with Kurt Marcus. Kurt has published several books of photography. The one I have is on cowboys. As of 2007 Kurt lived in Kalispell and had a home gallery there. His cousin works in a bank in Whitefish. Have not heard your music yet but look forward to it. I may visit the area again this fall. If I do I'd love to see/hear you live. Take care. I envy you. I'd much rather be back home there than here. C'est la vie.

Dear Mr. Walburn,
We've been to see you at Many Glacier Hotel on two occasions. We've seen your Lewis and Clark show twice and your Montana Time show once. We enjoyed both of them and we'll see you again next year when we come back to Glacier Park. We have both CDs and play them often. My wife and I have thought about living in Montana. I couldn't think of anyone better to ask than you. We know you're from Georgia and wondered if you miss living in the south. We live in North Carolina and we're afraid we'll miss the long summers, mild winters, and the tall trees of the south. We love the mountains of Montana and have enjoyed many long hikes there and plan many more. If you have time before your summer schedule starts to send me a message I'd appreciate your thoughts. We're in our mid-fifties now and we've stayed in good shape. We hiked up to Swift Current Lookout and then the Highline Trail last year. It was a long hike but we plan on doing that one again. As you know, it's just beautiful country.

Once again your timing and lyrics are uncanny (almost creepy!). I've written before to thank you for the inspiration your songs have provided my husband and I through our travels. This time we just happen to be building our home in the Adriondack Mountains when we stumbled across All For Good. You are, no doubt, familiar with the stress and frustration that can accompany the excitement and pride of building your own home. Yet again, you have provided an anthem for us to raise our heads and hearts to - amazing. Thank you and please keep it coming! All the best to you and your family.

Dear David, JJ, Jesse, Lee and Jadey,
Nate found some old cassette tapes of the L and C expedition and got hooked on them. He asked Nana for your CD and it's been in constant rotation ever since. His favorite song is "The Way of Men" but we love all of them. Nate wanted to say that he likes all of the songs too and he listens to them over and over. He hopes that you guys come back someday as he had a great day at the park in December.
Happy Spring!

Hi David,
Another Georgian (Rome) signing in here. I have some friends that moved out to MT, and got me hooked on your music. Actually, my wife can't go skiing without listing to Meat's in the Freezer first. Hey David,
Still loving your music. Play it all the time. I've picked up the ukulele recently and would love to learn to play some of your songs for my own enjoyment. Do you have any song books or sheet music available so I can learn the chords to your songs? It won't ever sound as good as you, but it would just be nice to be able to play along. Just let me know. Thanks, Karen.
PS When are you having another concert in/around Rome/Atlanta Ga?

David, it was a pleasure meeting you and attending your performances at Many Glaciers last Monday and Tuesday evenings. We truly enjoy your CDs. We relate to your themes of living in, and loving, the west. Montana has a grip on our hearts that won't let go. We hope to see you again sometime as I'm sure we'll be back to visit Montana. (We're just trying to figure out how to make it a permanent visit!) In the mean time keep singing about what you love. Thank you for your music.

Who knew when I came out six years ago with my parents to stay at the lodge and heard your wonderful Alaska story complete with a surprising reference to your days at UGA that I one day would be working at the University of Georgia! Well, here I am and I continue to sing your praises to any and all who will listen. I'm lobbying for t he Alumni Association to bring you back to UGA for a performance event. Do you ever get back to Atlanta? I would love to drive over and maybe do an interview of you for the UGA Alumni magazine although my job is actually Director of Development for Academic Affairs where I fundraise scholarships for our fabulous studies abroad residential centers in Oxford, England and the Monte Verde Cloud forest national preserve in Costa Rica as well as building an endowment for The Georgia Review - UGA's nationally acclaimed and award winning, 60 yr old literary journal. My husband and I just returned from an awesome 9 day trip to Glacier National Park. We hiked everyday and just soaked in the beauty of Montana. We saw one of your shows while we were there and took home a CD. We loved your show and now I am listening to the your music back home here in Ohio and dreaming of Montana. Thanks so much for capturing in song what we experienced during our trip.

Hi David,
My 9 year old son and I went with his best friend and his mom to Glacier this July. We went in Belly area for four days. So, so wonderful! Anyway, came out and spent rest of vacation day-hiking and playing your music in our rental car. The bummer is that we left the CD in the car when we turned it in, and it was never found again. Do you have an extra CD-Montana-Life Under the Big Sky. I will pay you, just tell me how much. By the way, who is the guy (stage Right) on the front cover? He just looks interesting.
Thanks for your help.

Dear Sir:
Last fall I ventured to the big sky to elk hunt right across the Montana border in Idaho. I spent about 8 days in Missoula before going into the bush after an elk. Although the elk hunt was very disappointing (planned for two years for hunt of a lifetime), seeing Montana, Rocky Mountain Elk foundation headquarters and visiting the surrounding area of Missoula, my heart was captured with the people, the scenery, and I must add – I purchased your CD Montana(Life under the Big Sky). So I have been playing it sitting at my desk thinking of the big sky that you elude to in your CD. Just FYI – the CD skipped on a song or two. Let me know if you have similar CD’s about Montana for sale. I enjoy your work.
Thanks and take care –Keep up the good work!!

Hi David:
I'm sure you have probably already received an email from someone in our group. Our son, Garrett Henderson, and two of his friends (Ben Cantrell and Tyson Betts) are coming from Rome, GA to stay in the cabin belonging to four families from Rome. My husband, Barry is good friends w/ your brother-in-law, Reed, and I know Shannon as well. They play cards and go on trips together sometimes. Also, Garrett just graduated from Darlington where Anna goes to school. Anyway, we are excited and a litttle nervous about the long road trip but all three will go off to college in 2 months. They are also looking forward to meeting & hearing you sing. Garrett is going to The University of Alabama's School of Music. He loves to sing and plays most most any instrument. He & Ben(one of the friends coming) were both in the choirs @ school. They ran out of room to bring their guitars but love to sit around the campfire with music. If you have time they will need some guidance in the wilderness up there since their wilderness consists of going in the back yard to camp where the dogs hang out with them, maybe an opossum during the night. Of course us moms/dads have talked about every possible danger but not sure if it went in one ear and stayed. They are great young men and this should be a trip of a lifetime. We do feel MUCH better knowing you are there if needed. They left today (6/3) and should be there in 3/4 days, depending on how many stops they make.
Thanks again, hope to meet you one day. Nancy Henderson

My husband and I listen to your CD's all the time. I grew up in Kalispell and my parents still live there. Over the past two years, we were fortunate enough to be able to build our dream home on 25 acres next to my parents place. We get there as often as we can and hope to retire there in the next ten years. We will be in Kalispell over Easter for five days. I appreciate your offer to sign the CD's. We will be in Whitefish the 22nd and/or 23rd. We're buying new furniture for the new house from Wright's Furniture. If you will be around, I'd love to take you up on your offer. My Dad's birthday was yesterday and I know he'd love many of your songs. They hold a lot of fond memories for my husband and myself and knowing the places you sing about makes it easy to relate. Our family grew up on skis at Big Mountain in the 1960's, have traveled over the Sun Highway many times and down the road to Missoula. We drive by the Crazy Mountains every time we drive up there and have taken photos by the sign at Big Timber just for fun!!! Being able to listen to you sing about the Montana that I love and miss motivates me to work toward the dream that someday I will be able to move back to Kalispell, the place I call home. We live in Wyoming, some 11 hours from there but listening to your music always takes me home. Thank you for the music and keep on singing. You've got a wonderful talent and are truly blessed. Wow…how can I convey what the songs on your Montana album meant to my husband and me?
We had to go to a Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame event in Billings last weekend (Darv was inducted last year and they have an annual get-together) and we listened to your songs over and over again. We play it everyday! Your words brought smiles, tears and a longing for a life we feel we lived long ago…your voice is so full of meaning and your lyrics….what you sing…is truly our Montana.
I knew J.J., a lifetime ago it seems. As pretty in appearance as she was in spirit. I remember when she got engaged to you and we both moved on in life. We would see each other periodically and I would greet you, but it was all in passing. I am ashamed to say I have never heard you music and it was truly my loss.
I’ve laughed and sang out loud countless times to Sweet Montana Home. I know the feeling well! I could tell you a lot more of what we were feeling in every song but I would have to write ten more pages.
Young Heart really hit us. My husband is a fifty-eight year old cowboy (but young at heart) and I have loved the cowboy life from birth. I am from an old ranching family. The truck was heavy in silence as we listened to your song, both tearing up, watching the road go by, deep in our own thoughts. The song ended and we looked at each other and agreed that it was the most beautifully written song we have ever heard and than in unison we shouted, “But it sucks!” and laughed to cover up the pain. The song hit us right where we are…getting older for the life we love. Fifty-eight and forty-eight is not old for the norm but for an athlete on horseback it pushes the chances of really getting hurt. We live our life on horseback and we’ve both had success in the rodeo world. Darv was a champion calf roper six years in a row. We are now having to change our game to compensate for loss of speed in our reaction time to continue to live the life God blessed us with. And believe me if we could ride it all over again we would! Thank you for a very moving song. It was like you shared our hearts secrets when you sang it.
You have an old soul David and you touched ours with your gift. There is a connection in your songs that is there for the taking. We are grateful for the soul it takes to feel it.
May God bless you with many more Happy Trails!

David-
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your music. A friend of mine just
recently gave me a copy of your "Life Under the Big Sky" C.D. I have listened to it
over and over again. You definately know Montana and how to write and sing about the
way it really is out here. I am a native born Montanan whose family still owns and
operates a ranch in southcentral Montana. I have worked pretty much my whole life in
the mountains of Montana packing mules for outfitters and also spending some time
working for the Park Service in Glacier; one of my favorites is the song about the
"Going to the Sun" road. I am going to order some more of your music in the near
future, please add me to your email list and hopefully I can catch up with you
during one of your performances.
Thanks again for the "real" music

Shortly after catching your show at Lake McDonald Lodge a few years ago we were hooked. Your music has been an inspiration to me and my husband. Lewis and Clark and, especially, Cabin Song were our soundtrack for a long awaited trip across the country and a move/complete change in life to the Adirondack Mountains. We like to say we've stopped "trading time for money" (at least not as much as we used to ;) We are so grateful for your music and that our paths have crossed. We hope you have found the peace your music inspires others to seek. Thank you!

A suggestion for the theme of a new
album. The ranchingfarming culture
of Montana including rodeos cowboys,
horses, wheat fields and horses, etc.
I went to five or six rodeos while
at Many; became interested in the
chatter around me that was different from Austin.
All the way back to Austin, I
listened to your CDs. It made
the 1600 miles or so speed by and
back to Swift Current Lake and
Montana. Your new album is a
way to undo a bad mood and start
ones head bobbing to the beat.
Your words in your songs are
heartfelt and create images in ones
mind that anyone can relate to.
How do you think up all those
snippets of living that we all
share
Have a great winterspring.

David,
It has been a year since we had the pleasure of spending the evening with you and your unbelievable talent for music and lyrics. We didn't know what to expect when we checked in at Many Glaciers Hotel and they told us about a one-man show. To this day we still talk about the evening with Lewis and Clark and being on the trail with you and your music. Glacier NP is amazing but somehow you added to the experence that still touches both of us. We just listened to the new album "Singing for a living" I just want to complement you on making another evening of foot tapping and fond memories for both of us.

We caught your show on August 8th and have been enjoying your music ever since. Got
L&C, Life Under the Big Sky and your new CD. We can't seem to get enough of Life
Under the Big Sky. Great music! I have mixed in the L&C and Singing for a Living.
Love the music on all three but right now we are wearing out Life Under the Big Sky.
We mentioned at the show we were Gordon Lightfoot fans and had seen approximately
36 shows over the last 15 to 20 years. We both hear some GL sounds and I also
through of Tony Rice and your guitar pickin. Enjoy your great music. Wonderful
songs. We will see you again - not sure when, but we are looking for an opportunity.

Hi David!
We just got home from our big 3 week trip up to Glacier and Banff/Jasper. We thoroughly enjoyed catching all 3 of your shows this year. My sister-in-law fell in love with your music and even bought one of your shirts, remember? Dave actually had his blue one on today while we were at Cabela's in Ft Worth and some guy just came up and started talking about Montana to us! Great ice-breaker! Our 16 year old son came to all 3 shows and told us that Cabin Song was his favorite of the 3! That's a pretty good endorsement from our guitar-playing kid! Can't wait to catch you again! We listen to the CD's all the time and keep on "Montana Time" every chance we get! I'm still a "Ghost of Old Charlie Russell" fan myself!

your song, going to the sun, was sung for me recently, and it was incredibly moving. I lead a non-profit organization and our work feels a bit like building that road. I can't sing, but I thought it would be wonderful to share your words with our staff to provide some inspiration and context for the work they do so well.
Also where can I buy your cd?

Two years later and we still listen to your music every week. I remember meeting you for the first time and thinking this guy sweeping the floor downstairs in Many Glacier Hotel couldn't possibly be the performer. What a mistake I made. You have such a humble spirit for being such a gifted man David. Your music is definitely a medicine that calms the nerves of the every day rat race. My wife and I came to Glacier for our 10 year anniversary and brought your music back home to Florida. Our daughters love all the CDs, especially the Lewis and Clark songs and sing along with us. We've even downloaded it to our MP3 players. Oh how we would love to drop our watches in the watch box though, and just sit for a good while at the cabin in Alaska with all you Homestead Boys. Nashville may want you, but in our minds you've already made it big- time by soothing the hearts and souls of thousands of weary travelers like ourselves. We share your music with everyone that will listen and without fail they each go online and order your CDs. By the way, we cherish what you wrote on our CD... "Danny and Nellie, Follow Your Dreams" Thanks for the personal touch!
We believe in you too David, don't give up on your dreams either!!!

David,
My husband and I just got back from a week in Glacier National Park. While at Many Glacier Lodge we were able to see your show and picked up your Montana-Life Under The Big Sky CD. We both fell in love with your Going To The Sun Road song. We also reworded your song Meats in the Freezer. We say "lets go play!". Another favorite is The Great Northern. We love them all but most of all we want you to know how much your music and seeing your show on Alaska made our vacation! God has sure been good to us. Montana is definitely a place we will visit again.

Hello David,
We recently caught your act while vacationing at Many Glacier Lodge. It was great!
I've always been a music fan enjoying everything from Dave Brubek to the Stooges,
but my favorite has been Gordon Lightfoot. Until now, I thought he was the only
storyteller that captured my imagination with his imagery. As GL's career has faded,
I've looked for someone else who has his ability to spin a yarn about a side of life
that both fascinates and inspires me.
Well done! Your CD's have not only filled that void, but have taken me through a new
musical adventure. Your talents are rare and I wish you success in the future.
Please let me know when your next CD comes out.
Thanks again!

Hey Dave,
I worked at Many in the gift shop summer of 05. My heart still cries out for Montana every single day, and I dream of it most nights. Your music brings me right back to that summer everytime I start to get a little homesick. Thank you for giving me a way to bring a little piece of Montana back east with me.

Heard you on John Dunnigan's radio show in January and picked up one of your CD's in St Regis in February. Have been playing it ever since. When you talk with John, tell him "hi" from Linda in Nine Mile Falls and ask him if he's found the million bucks yet. He'll understand...

I had the pleasure of meeting you today in Great Falls and purchased a couple of your cd's - Life Under The Big Sky and Cabin Song. They are truly wonderful and my wife and I spent the afternoon listening to both. We enjoyed them so much that we'll get a copy of your new cd as soon as it's available. Hopefully, we'll be able to catch a show or two in Glacier this summer. Until then, keep making wonderful music!

We visited Montana last summer and heard you CD, Life Under The Big Sky. We LOVE it. It was so wonderful to listen to while we were traveling the very sun road that you were singing about. Next time out we have to see you sing.

Hi David,
Our family caught 2 of your 3 performances in the Summer of '05 while staying at Many Glacier. We bought the 2 CD's from those evening's performances. I am happy to say that we are again going to be at Glacier this summer while on a 3 week trip from Texas to Banpf & Jasper. I certainly hope you'll be performing at the hotel again and that your newest CD will be available! Every time we listen to your music (which is frequent) it evokes memories of a magical place and a thoroughly entertaining evening, lost in the midst of your artistry! Counting down to summer, your Teaxs friends,
Dave & Connie Hopkins

David,
I bet you don't remember me? I was a frequent guest at your house back in good old Marietta, Ga. Your brother and I were the best of friends. I remember exploring the creeks, snake hunting, and all the other stuff we did back in the good old days. I was doing some internet exploring and came upon your sight. It sounds as if you are doing well. Take care - George Vaulot

I just wanted to say how much my family and I enjoyed David's show this summer while vacationing at Glacier National Park. With two teenagers and a ten year old you are never certain what reaction an idea will receive and this time it was a HIT. All five of us really enjoyed his show. We even bought two CDs. Which leads me to the next comment. My youngest son was doing a school project last night on the Lousianna Purchase and Lewis/Clark and he remembered a lot about the expedition because of the show we saw. He even was playing the CD while working on his project. You can't get any better than that... May you realize what a gifted man you are. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas.

Dear Dave, I spoke with your wife JJ this morning on the phone. I know she must have thought me a crazy woman from New York! Truth is I settled in Belgrade Montana August 1 of this year. Motivated by hard times back east and longing to be with my family in Montana I wanted to start over in a place of promise. When I arrived I thought "How can I ever explain the wonder of this place to any one in words?" And then I happened on to your CD one day as I thumbed through the music section of the new Bozeman library and I found that you had captured Montana's unique wonder in your music. I look forward to experiencing more of your music and I thank God for you and how you captured the awe of Montana for me. I will forever keep it singing in my heart.

One of Montana's True Artist!*****
If you have ever been to Montana, thinking of visiting Montana, or just know where Montana is, buy this CD. All of the songs will make you wish you could pack up and go today. The Montana mystic is exemplified all through this CD. At a minimum, "Montana Time" & "Goodnight Montana" should be on everyone's play list. When, not if, you visit Glacier National park start off your drive up the Going To The Sun Road with this CD's song and you will get the feeling of how the original builders of the road must have felt. One of the best CD's on Montana music from an artist who lives it every day!

About a month ago, 6 high school chums and myself spent 4 glorious days right in the heart of Big Sky Country, within Glacier Nat'l Park. We stayed at the Many Glacier Hotel where David was completing his final 2 performances there for the season. This CD so closely mapped out our trip and experiences there (hiking, cruising Going To The Sun Road, partying at Charlie's Place etc.) that I purchased it right after the live show. I had David sign it and dedicate it to our dear friend and trip organizer Phil. Dave...Phil...Thanks for the memories....Hey Bear! Hey Bear! Whoooo!!!Yaaaaaa!!!!!!

My husband and I were at Many Glacier on July 15 (my birthday) and saw David's Lewis and Clark show. We both enjoyed the show so much and learned a new appreciation and understanding of the expedition. On our drive back to North Carolina we kept watching the signs of that historical journey. We bought one CD after the show. When we got home we ordered the rest of the CDs. David's music has really touched our lives.

I saw you perform at Lake McDonald when I was working there I watched your West For America, and the Cabin Show I really lovewd both of them. After the West Of America I wanted to go explore and see what's out there in the wilderness. I love your shows and I would like to get 2 more of your Cd's "THE CABIN" and one other one. I can't remember what it is called. I would like to keep in touch and see how things are going for you and your family. I just lost 2 of my Grandma's and life has been kinda hard the only thing helping is to go explore thew world and make a dfference in this world.

Dear David,
This last June, my brother Neal Duncan passed away from a massive heart attack at the young age of 48.
He and his wife Pam loved your music.
As a gift to her I am trying to put together pictures from Neal's life and the words from songs that were played at his funeral. One of the songs was "Going to the Sun" by you. I have been unable to find the lyrics to this song on the internet, is it possible if it isn't too much trouble for you to email the words to me so I could include it in the album I am making for Pam. I would really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Lisa Duncan Doumak

Hi Dave;
Ben Banks and I just returned from a Jeff Beck concert at the Chicago Theater and thought we would look up your website.
My mother picked up your CD at one of your shows. I was in Whitefish last week and she gave it to me. On the plane ride home, I discovered a couple old friends.
Rather amusing that I should run into your CD, and go see a show with Ben Banks all in the same day.
Vince Duperron
PS. Ben says, "hey." He gave you a call and is looking forward to a return.
PPS. Excellent CD. I think I will have to add some more to my collection!

Dear David,
I love your music ! My husband & I attended 2 of your programs a couple of weeks ago at Many Glaciers. I bought 2 of your CDs and we listened to them as we drove along Going to the Sun Rd. At home in Ohio I 'm still listening. Your concert was one of the highlights of our trip . I like the slides along with the music. You remind me of John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot. Do you ever tour NE Ohio? The Cuyahoga Valley National Park in NE ohio has a lodge for folk singing concerts . You can look up the park at NPS .gov. Good luck with your career. We wish you the best

My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed your "Montana: Life Under the Big Sky" show on Friday, August 4th. We saw your Lewis and Clark show two years ago, so we have been blessed to have now heard two of your shows. It was really nice to hear the "West For America" song right in the midst of your "Montana" show. It brought both programs together. We greatly appreciate your songs, storytelling and slide images that make everything come alive. We look forward to seeing your "Cabin Song" show some day when we can come back over from Spokane. Maybe our Portland, Oregon, friends can again join us. I don't know what you have in mind for your next project (maybe a look at the pioneers coming out west?), but we look forward to what may come. Thanks again for all you do.

David,
Last Tuesday we packed up our stuff, threw it in the trunk of Shannon's Miata and hit the road ... Glacier or Bust. Not a long drive from Portland, but a definite road trip and a needed break for us ... we just wrapped up our first year of grad school and needed an adventure. We found ourselves in the Montana House shop in Apgar as we sipped our coffee and contemplated our drive on the "Going to the Sun". We stumbled upon your cd about your Alaska cabin adventure. Having spent 2 summers in college in the Alaska bush (was that really 20 years ago??) I was drawn to it ... the photos are great! We hopped back in the car, popped your cd in, and began our drive. From the first song, we were totally on board. That cd is amazing (and Looking for Space met this Colorado born and raised girl's need for a little JD!! Your rendition truly honors him!). It instantly became the official music of the road trip and we listened to it for 5 days straight. We actually had to do rock-paper-scissors for who got to keep it and who had to wait for a second one to come. I lost, so am on your website now to order my own copy. I'm looking forward to hearing your other cd's, but this one will truly be close to my heart. Thank you for adding such great dimension and depth to our trip. It was magical! A trip to the gas station for the soul! Do you ever perform in Oregon?? Would love to hear that amazing music live!!
Thanks again. Namaste.

David,
My wife and children saw your "West for America" show at the Kennedy Center, Washington D.C. I think back in 2004. I was working on a paper and welcomed their departure for a few hours of clam it would bring. On my brides return she spoke of a great show that I would have loved to seen. Since then we've tried several times to catch your show on the east coast, but to no avail. We do have the CD from the show (which has been replaced once) and have bought it as Christmas gifts for several family members. I just wanted to say when I return home I'll be heading to Montana though my home is in up-state New York; to see the wonders of the Rockies and the Little Bog Horn Valley.
As a parting note, Barr S.U. AFOLABI ESQ comments seem a tad dodgey, as the Australians would say.
